We meet the second Sunday every month after the church service for a shared sandwich lunch. One person a month brings a cake, another looks after coffee and a third brings a relish tray. The club started in January 1996, with 16 members present. Three of the original members are now married. Each meeting we plan our social event for that month - dinner out is a favourite. We also plan social events such as bus trips and fund-raising events. We have a nominal membership fee yearly. We have a comfortable tight-knit group that gives us lots of laughs! Bus trips are our main events. Recent ones were to: Downtown Toronto with a cruise around the harbour Muskoka fall colours with Bala's cranberry harvest Grand River cruise with lunch on board A steam train ride at Tottenham... There is also a Christmas party in December, which is potluck. Another potluck celebrates our anniversary in January. New members are always welcome - especially men!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||
